1. Agreement to these terms
By using the FlockedIn app or this website (the “Service”), run by FlockedIn (“we”, “us” or “our”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. What FlockedIn is
FlockedIn helps small groups (“flocks”) read the Bible together. Each day your flock reads the same passage, earns wool (an in-app reward with no money value) and shares prayer requests and reflections. FlockedIn is free. Features may change as we develop it.
3. Who can use FlockedIn
You must be at least 16 years old to use FlockedIn. By using it, you confirm that you are. You can’t use FlockedIn if we’ve removed you from it before.
4. Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Choose a sheep name that isn’t offensive and doesn’t pretend to be someone else. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
5. Community rules
Flocks are places to pray for and encourage one another. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don’t post, in prayers, reflections, names, flock names or anywhere else:
- harassment, bullying, threats or hate towards any person or group;
- sexual or sexually suggestive content, or anything involving minors;
- violent or graphic content, or encouragement of self-harm;
- spam, scams, advertising or links to harmful sites;
- other people’s private information without their permission;
- anything illegal, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
Report and block. You can report any post, any person or any flock from the app, and block anyone so you no longer see their posts. They aren’t told that you blocked them.
What we do. We review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and users who post it are removed from FlockedIn. We may also remove content or accounts we find ourselves, without a report.
If someone may be in danger, report it in the app and contact your local emergency services (000 in Australia) straight away. FlockedIn is not an emergency service.
6. Your content
What you write stays yours. By posting it, you give us permission to store it and show it to the people you shared it with, as described in the Privacy Policy, for as long as it’s on FlockedIn. You confirm you have the right to post it.
7. Bible text and our content
Scripture in FlockedIn is from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. The FlockedIn name, sheep artwork, design and software belong to us. Please don’t copy them without our permission.
8. Disclaimers
FlockedIn is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free or secure. Posts are written by users and don’t represent our views, and nothing on FlockedIn is professional, medical or pastoral advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of FlockedIn. Because FlockedIn is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to AUD $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using FlockedIn and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or remove your account if you break these Terms or if we need to protect other users.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we’ll post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know before it takes effect. If you keep using FlockedIn after a change, you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Victoria.
